Iranian Saffron Price
Iranian Saffron old crop price has increased between %70 to %80 (seventy to eighty percent) in the domestic market compared to two weeks ago (23th October to 7th November). The main reason for this is the realization of predictions based on the reduction of saffron production in the some center regions of Saffron like the Khorasan region. Some estimates show that New crop(2021) is less than last year(2020) which has reached a third. In fact, New crop will reach 200 tons this year (2021).
Iranian Saffron New Crop Price
The new Saffron harvest met drought and lack of saffron harvest. In fact, most of the crop obtained from the type of saffron is Negin (the highest type of saffron in terms of quality) and has caused the domestic market of Iran to face severe shortage of saffron of Sargol type(All red or cope) which has major domestic consumption. This situation cause the new crop more expensive than old crop which is around %30(thirty percent) and daily fluctuations.
Forecast of Iranian Saffron Price
Considering the current situation, it is very difficult to predict the Saffron price in the next weeks. Also, that there is a possibility of decreasing domestic demand in the next weeks which react to the increase in prices, and the start of saffron harvesting in the next month(December month) in some Saffron regions like South of Khorasan region and other parts of the Iran country. At the end,the real Iranian saffron price is determined at the end December month and in the beginning of the new year(2022).
